From here the
decline begins
This isn’t just another project. It’s a shift, a new way to think, work and act with less carbon emissions. No quick fixes. No shortcuts. Just smarter energy, materials, and everyday decisions that push progress in the right direction. From production floors to boardrooms, we’re cutting what we don’t need and doubling down on what matters.

The goal is zero. The journey is shared. Because no one gets to net zero alone. We’re working side by side with partners, suppliers and customers to make lower emissions solutions the new standard – and to inspire others in our industry, and beyond, to join the movement.
This is what we have done so far
We’re aiming low
On carbon, not ambition
We’re not just setting goals – we’re setting the pace. By 2030, we’ll cut our carbon emissions in half. By 2045, we’ll reach net zero. That’s five years ahead of the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) timeline. Our 2024 Sustainability Report is already aligned with the CSRD, with clear disclosures on energy use, emissions, materials, workforce development and governance. But in the end, progress isn’t measured in promises. It’s measured in action. And we’re here to lead by example.
We’re going below and beyond – in every area

Renewable energy is one of our key focus areas. Today, several European sites are powered by 100% renewable electricity, while solar panels have already been installed at production facilities in Asia. Currently, 20% of the electricity used across all manufacturing sites comes from renewable sources – and we’re investing further in solar, wind, biomass and other alternatives.
A Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) revealed that steel and concrete are among the largest contributors to product emissions. That’s why we have joined the SteelZero coalition and is trialling fossil-free and recycled steel. New concrete mixes, developed with lower-carbon cement and local aggregates, have already reduced the footprint of select product ranges by more than half. And we’re just getting started. Across industries – from construction to secure storage – the shift towards smarter materials is gaining pace. Lower carbon emissions steel, greener cement, and recycled aggregates are no longer future ambitions, but technologies we’re exploring today to build a more sustainable tomorrow.

Product design is evolving – with purpose. Take the ModuleGuard T2 range: re-engineered to deliver the same trusted levels of security, now with more than 50% lower carbon impact. By rethinking materials and construction, we’ve made it lighter, smarter and more sustainable – without compromising on performance. Lighter-weight components also mean lower transport emissions, helping us reduce our footprint at every stage of the value chain. We’re in the process of upgrading several of our product ranges – making them more efficient, and better for the planet.
We’re building a more circular future by extending product life, reducing waste, and making it easier for customers to take part. Plans are underway to establish a take-back programme for end-of-life products, alongside expanded sales of remanufactured and refurbished solutions. We’re also developing return, recycling and upgrade initiatives that invite our customers to join us in giving products a second – or even third – life. Because true sustainability doesn’t end at the point of sale. It starts there.

We’re committed to reducing the environmental footprint of our operations – not just through what we produce, but how we produce it. Our goal is to send no more than 10% of manufacturing waste to landfill, while actively reducing effluents and emissions from production processes. We are reviewing our packaging to enhance both its design and recyclability. We’re also improving water efficiency by investing in recycling and recovery systems – using less water per product, and making every drop count. Because every resource saved is a step towards a more sustainable future.
