HAUSLER: The leading provider of advanced rental services for automated safe deposit lockers in Argentina
Starting in 2014, Hausler began offering clients the option to securely store valuable items and cash in mechanical safe deposit lockers. Over the years, Hausler has established itself as the premier provider of fully automated, robotized safe deposit locker rentals in Argentina. The demand for safe storage of valuables and cash in Argentina has been steadily rising, leading to consistent growth for Hausler since the launch of their first branch in 2014. Presently, Hausler caters to a customer base of over 20,000 active clients.
Hausler has ventured into the Argentine market, traditionally dominated by banks, by providing their clients with the exclusive service of renting secure deposit boxes. With the ongoing closure of bank branches, the availability of a highly secure environment for Argentinian individuals to store their valuables is dwindling. Recognizing this growing customer demand, Hausler has taken the initiative to bridge the gap with an innovative service offering that today even surpasses the capabilities of conventional, mechanical deposit boxes.
“We provide our customers with the assurance of keeping their valuable belongings nearby, safeguarded by advanced security systems. Our clients select us for our exceptional service quality, convenient operating hours, extensive range of box sizes, flexible rental terms, private business rooms, and various other advantages that establish us as prominent leaders in this industry," explains Carlos Gesino, CEO of Hausler.
Gunnebo has been chosen as the manufacturer and supplier of SafeStore Auto, a comprehensive, fully automated safe deposit box system. This turnkey solution includes a certified strong room that houses the boxes in racks, a robot that retrieves and transfers the boxes to an output unit, and the complete user authentication technology. This technology incorporates a combination of a crypto memory card, pin code, and biometric scan, ensuring a highly secure authentication process that clients must undergo to access their rented automated deposit box.
“Selecting Gunnebo as our partner enables us to incorporate technology and enhance efficiency within a traditional industry. The implementation of an automated safe deposit box system ensures utmost security for our clients. The user-friendly terminals facilitate a seamless self-service experience for depositing and retrieving items, making the process fast and efficient. Moreover, the robotic process ensures enhanced privacy and convenience for customers during their transactions”, says Carlos Gesino and further concludes: “This project exemplifies Gunnebo's expertise in handling intricate projects and providing prompt support to its customers, extending its services even to Argentina.”
Hausler was the pioneering private company to introduce an automated self-service model in Argentina, which has been met with exceptional customer reception at its branches in Alto Palermo, Unicenter, and Recoleta.
Argentina is a country that continues to face significant challenges in terms of inflation and public trust in traditional banking services. In addition, the digitalisation process in traditional banking has increased significantly after the pandemic, which in turn has led to the closure of many bank branches.
In light of this, Hausler's decision to offer secure storage solutions for valuables and cash in their branches already in 2014 proved to be highly successful. In addition to their rental service for conventional lockers, Hausler has recently expanded their operations to include 10 fully automated SafeStore Auto Midi systems across three branches. The company has set ambitious goals for the future, aiming to double their customer base within the next years through a comprehensive expansion plan that involves opening five new branches equipped with Gunnebo's automated safe deposit box systems.
